“We look for ways to realize a client’s individual requirements as a team.”

Manager in Berlin, 4flow software

Each day starts off with a project meeting for the developer team. Anyone who assumes that a developer sits at a computer all day is mistaken. At 4flow, your job doesn’t just consist of programming, but communicating inside the company and with customers as well. Before each development project, there’s a concept phase in which we document the requirements and work them out in workshops. After that we figure out how we can realize our customer’s individual requirements in our software, as a team. Then in the implementation phase we start with the actual coding. In the past years, I have learned to take a step back and look at things from different perspectives. Issues that come up can often be solved without software, just by approaching them with proven methods from our consultants. In order to find that out, we have to get to know our clients really well and sometimes we have to coax the problem out of them.

I came to 4flow right after I finished studying, and I’ve been here almost as long as the company exists. As a manager, I’m now responsible for software optimization and involved in acquiring new customers along with developing our software solutions. Today, just like it was in the beginning, I can talk to our executive team if a problem arises. The open company culture defines 4flow, even if we’re no longer a start-up.
