Networking event for women in supply chain

October 21, 5-6:30 pm, New York Bar, Hotel Estrel

During the BVL Supply Chain CX, we’re inviting women in supply chain to this German-language networking event – this year with a fresh new concept in collaboration with BVL’s Ladies in Logistics. Before the ceremony for the German Logistics Award, we’ll come together to make new connections and discuss a key topic at many companies: “From concept to impact: putting resilience & AI into practice.”

How do strategy, concepts and pilots translate into real change? Our speakers will share their experiences and discuss what works when building resilience and artificial intelligence into organizational structures, processes and day-to-day work. We’re leaving one spot on the panel open for perspectives, experiences and questions from the audience. Together, we’ll discuss how to take resilience and AI from concept to real-world practice.

Kai Althoff, CEO of 4flow and chairman of the board at BVL, will welcome guests to the BVL Supply Chain CX in his opening address on October 21 at 9 am on the Main Stage. He’ll also moderate the following sessions.

Deliver. Now: from a mode of transport to the backbone of competitive supply chains in Europe

October 21, 10:30-11 am, Main Stage

Whether European supply chains become resilient and climate-friendly will depend on rail transport. Geopolitical uncertainties, fragile networks and rising cost pressures are increasing the need for action. At the same time, customers expect reliable, transparent, and easy-to-use solutions. To achieve this, rail freight transport must improve significantly: with more efficient structures, greater operational resilience, easier access, and real-time transparency. In this interview, Kai Althoff and Bernhard Osburg will discuss which levers are now critical and how rail can become the strategic backbone of competitive supply chains in Europe.
