The 4flow challenge – the ultimate competition for students who want to prove they’ve got what it takes for a career in supply chain consulting.
Together with your team, you’ll develop a creative solution for optimizing semiconductor supply networks in the face of global supply chain disruptions. You’ll have an experienced 4flow consultant to help coach you through the case study. And if your results impress the judges, you’ll be invited to join the finals on-site in Berlin, where the top three teams will take home cash prizes totaling over €10,000.

Application

Applicants will be notified of their application status by mid-October.
Kick-off
October 27, 2025


At the video conference kick-off on October 27, 2025, you and your team will receive all the details about the case and the timeline. Invitations to the kick-off will be sent to teams that qualify for the competition.
Designing a resilient supply chain
October 27 - November 3, 2025


You and your team will have one week to prepare your concept in the form of a presentation in English, which can be drafted with the assistance of a university professor, if applicable. You will also receive coaching from a 4flow consultant.
Teams will submit their solutions by November 3, 2025. A panel of expert judges will then select the top entries to compete in the next round.
Semi-finals
November 5-19, 2025


If selected to advance to the semi-finals, you and your team will receive the final part of the case study on November 5, 2025. You’ll then have two weeks to submit your next solution. The expert judges will invite the best teams to the finals.
Finals in Berlin, Germany
December 4-5, 2025


The finals will take place December 4-5, 2025, at 4flow’s newly designed office in Berlin, Germany. 4flow will cover travel and lodging expenses for all finalists. During the finals, teams will present their solutions to the judges and to the other teams. Finalists will be evaluated on the technical quality of their solutions as well as on their presentation and communication skills.
Finalists will also be invited to attend an evening event to network with 4flow consultants and fellow students.
At the conclusion of the two-day finals in Berlin, judges will announce the winning teams of the 4flow challenge 2025.

FAQ
Sure, a strong interest and basic knowledge of supply chain and logistics is all you need.
Each member of your team must be actively enrolled at your university when the 4flow challenge begins on October 27, 2025. If a team member graduates during the competition, the team and the graduating member may continue to participate.
Yes, participation is open to students from Germany, Austria, France and Spain.
Yes, individual students who meet the other requirements for participation are welcome to apply. We will do our best to create teams of individual applicants during the selection process. However, there is no guarantee that an individual applicant will be able to compete as part of a team.
No, the support of a professor is optional. However, your university department will only be awarded a cash prize if your team receives active support from a professor.
Each professor may support no more than one team.
A day in the life of a consultant includes working with clients from around the world. Therefore, English is essential.
Submit your application via the application form starting on July 28, 2025. The application must include CVs, university enrollment certificates and current overviews of grades for each team member. The team will also need to submit a short text (approximately one page) introducing the team, including a team name. All data will be handled confidentially.
