The 4flow challenge case study competition is getting a significant update this year – for the first time ever, students from China are also eligible to compete. Are you enrolled at a Chinese university as a master’s student or near completing your bachelor’s degree, ideally with a concentration in supply chain or logistics? Do you want to test your supply chain knowledge? Then apply with two or three of your fellow students for the 4flow challenge China and see how you measure up against other Chinese teams. The winners of the qualifying round at 4flow’s Shanghai office will receive an expenses-paid trip to participate in the competition finals in Berlin, Germany, on June 13 and 14, 2019. At 4flow’s Berlin headquarters, you will compete against the top European teams and have a chance to win up to €4,000 (roughly 30,000 RMB) in prize money. You will also have the opportunity to explore the German capital city during your four-day stay.
From Shanghai to Berlin
In the 4flow challenge China, you and your team will work on a case study dealing with the topic of e-mobility. Your team will be coached by a 4flow consultant and, if you so choose, supported by your professor. In the first round, you will create and present a concept in English, which you will further develop and refine if you proceed to the second round. All information about the case study and further detailed information about the competition schedule will be provided to you and your team in a video conference during the kickoff event on April 4, 2019.
In contrast to the European 4flow challenge, you will present your concept to the competition judges after just the second round. On May 20, 2019, qualifying teams will be invited to 4flow’s Shanghai office, where the winners of the very first 4flow challenge China will be announced. In June, the winning team will then travel to Berlin, Germany. The second-place team in the 4flow challenge China will receive 6,000 RMB, and the third-place team will receive 3,000 RMB. Supporting professors (where applicable) will receive 2,000 RMB for the second place team and 1,000 RMB for the third place team.
The registration period for the 4flow challenge China ends on March 10, 2019. However, it pays to sign up as early as possible! If two teams earn the same score, the team that signed up first will proceed to the next round of the competition (as long as they registered before February 24, 2019).
