About the 4flow challenge Europe
In 2024, the 4flow challenge Europe, 4flow’s supply chain case study competition for students, drew over 75 master’s students in 18 teams from 13 universities in Germany, France, Spain and England, making it the largest 4flow challenge yet.
This year's challenge focused on sustainable transformation. In several rounds of rigorous evaluation, the teams demonstrated their analytic skills, creativity and aptitude for supply chain as they developed a strategy for sustainable procurement, transportation and distribution.
The teams were mentored throughout the competition by experienced 4flow consultants.
Six finalist teams were invited to the 4flow office in Hamburg, Germany, for the competition finals on June 6 and 7, 2024. There, they gained insights into daily work at a global supply chain consulting firm and joined networking events with the other student teams and 4flow consultants. Additionally, each team presented their solutions before a panel of expert supply chain judges before the winners were announced in an award ceremony.
Case study
What are the current challenges in sustainable supply chain management? How can a company transform its supply chain sustainably with both small and large changes, while ensuring the transformation makes financial sense? How can future trends and technologies be implemented so businesses become leaders in sustainable logistics?
In this year's 4flow challenge case study competition, student teams developed a sustainable transformation together. In the process, they designed future-ready sustainable supply chains and adapted to current challenges.
Look out for the next 4flow challenge
