Organizations and initiatives

Kai Althoff, CEO of 4flow, is a board member of BVL International and leader of the concept group for the BVL Supply Chain CX (previously the International Supply Chain Conference from BVL). BVL International is an open network of members that actively support efficient cooperation in the global economy. BVL’s main goal is to convey the importance of logistics and supply chain management – and to further advance its application and development.

4flow is a member of BVL Austria. Formed from the Institute for Applied Logistics, BVL Austria was founded in 1992 and is now the largest chapter network in Austria. The network actively contributes towards the development and practical application of logistics and supply chain by promoting interdisciplinary networking between the practical and academic worlds.

Dr. Stefan Wolff was a founding member of the Roundtable in Germany for the Council of Logistics Management (CLM). Since January 2005, this organization has been known as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). The CSCMP is a global professional organization for supply chain managers that is dedicated to the advancement and international dissemination of research and knowledge on supply chain management. To do this, it organizes an annual global conference and numerous events at different locations and facilitates the delivery of knowledge about logistics and supply chain management to its members.

Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Europe is an initiative for collaboration between manufacturers, retailers, service providers and industrial organizations in the consumer goods and retail sectors. ECR is committed to the removal of unnecessary costs from the supply chain and offers a neutral platform for the development and exchange of best practices.

4flow is a member of the German Chamber of Commerce in China. The organization represents German companies conducting business in China and offers up-to-date market information, practical advice as well as a platform for the German-Chinese economy. The German Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 1999 and currently has more than 2,300 members in mainland China.

4flow is a member of the Global Supply Chain Council (GSCC), the leading professional organization in Asia for the rapidly growing community of more than 250,000 executives. The GSCC is geared towards manufacturers, retailers and brand owners – supporting them with knowledge and networking in the areas of logistics and supply chain management and purchasing.

GS1 Germany supports companies from all sectors in the optimization and implementation of holistic processes. For this purpose, GS1 Germany develops open, cross-industry and globally valid communication and process standards. Through practice-oriented trainings and professional events, the organization also ensures the transfer of knowledge between all market participants.

4flow is a member of the International Association for SAP Partners e.V. (IA4SP). Founded in 2007, the network and information platform for businesses in the SAP field supports its members in making targeted steps to sustainably develop their businesses by applying the focus statement “Inform – Connect – Support”.
